Cells and Brain Test

There will be a test over cells and the brain next Wednesday, November 7.  Listed below are the items that students need to be studying.  They should be have notes, three worksheets, and two quizzes that they can use to study from.

Students need to study:

  • VOCABULARY
    • cell
    • cell membrane
    • nucleus
    • life processes
    • cerebrum
    • cerebellum
    • medulla
    • neuron
  • CONCEPTS
    • know the three parts of the brain
    • know the description of the spinal cord
    • know the two kinds of nerve cells
    • know what a reflex action does
    • be able to list several of the six life processes
    • be able to list several of the eight multiple intelligences
    • be able to list several of the ten ways to make your brain “smarter”
    • know how the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body
    • be able to sketch and label a pair of neurons
    • be able to label the major parts of the brain including:
      • cerebrum
      • cerebellum
      • medulla
      • spinal cord
  • Also, be prepared to list three things learned that were NOT on the test

The test is worth 43 points!  GOOD LUCK STUDENTS!!!
