EARTH SCIENCE TEST COMING UP (Updated 2/1)

There will be a test over earth science next Thursday, February 8

Student need to be able to:

  • Label the major tectonic plates of the earth
  • Recognize the terms atmosphere, earthquake, fault, focus, hydrosphere, lava, lithosphere, magma, plate tectonics, volcano, seismograph and Pangaea
  • Name the layers of the earth
  • Tell what sea-floor spreading and a mid-ocean ridge are
  • Identify what region many volcanos and earthquakes occur
  • Tell what the Richter scale is
  • Describe the evidence to support the idea of continental drift
  • Describe some effects of an earthquake

Also, students need to be prepared to tell three things that we talked about that were not on the test!
