The online mealworm test is ready! There is one thing that students need to be aware of. One question asks them to draw (on their own piece of paper) the life cycle of a mealworm. Then, when they have the test graded they will need to compare their picture to the one that comes up online. I also mentioned to them that if they don’t type SOMETHING in the answer box that the computer will tell them they didn’t answer one question. This won’t affect their score, but if they want to avoid that they can just type anything they want in the box.
The online test can be reached right here.
Thanks

OK, I have decided to DROP the last mealworm experiment this year. I have to make sure we have time to get done with the Levers and Pulleys kit so I felt that was the best thing to do. So, on my last post disreguard the students bringing supplies for their own experiments.
Thanks

Hi everyone
OK, now that we have missed THREE days of school and the students don’t attend school Monday (Teacher Inservice Day), I need to do some updates to my list of when to bring materials! Here goes:
- On Wednesday, January 21 students need to bring their materials for their maze
- On Friday, January 23 students need to bring food to test their mealworms
- On Tuesday, January 27 students need to bring whatever they need for their own experiment
Now, we’ll just see if the weather cooperates this time or if I will have to update this again!
Thanks
Mr. Yerington

Attention Parents, Guardians and Students:
I told students to record the following information in their agendas, but for those who may have “forgotten” the following items will need to be brought in for Mealworm labs this week and next.
- Thursday, January 15 students need to bring whatever materials they plan to construct their maze from. Some ideas are Lego type blocks, Popsicle sticks, cardboard, etc.
- Tuesday, January 20 students need to bring in some type of food to test their mealworms (nothing containing citric acid such as lemons, oranges, grapefruit, etc)
- Wednesday, January 21 students need to bring in whatever materials they need for their own lab. They should have discussed this with their partner(s)
As always, if you have questions please feel free to comment to the blog, or send me an e-mail.
Thanks
Mr. Yerington

Attention Parents and Guardians:
Students worked on a mealworm observation lab today. As homework they need to write a paragraph describing their mealworm. This is due tomorrow.
Thanks
